Hurraw! My Lips Have Found A New Favourite

Hurraw! My lips found a new favourite.

A few weeks ago, I suddenly found myself without any lip balm. I had three and then two got lost, and one finished! I used to use Burt’s Bees tinted lip balms for years and years, but this time I wanted to try something different.

I’m the kind of person who likes experimenting with new things, so I have no idea why I stuck to the same lip balm for so long. I guess I really liked it.

This time, I wanted something really affordable, possibly even more than the Burt’s Bees one, something that tastes really good, and also something with a bit of tint. I went through every single lip balm on LoveLula, studying the ingredients of every single one.

Until I found my new love: the Hurraw lip balms.

The ingredients were amazing, but I knew I was going to get a couple when I saw they had a lip balm specially for balancing vata. Oh my god! With all of my favourite warming spices. What else could I ask for? 🙂 I also picked up the Cinnamon tinted lip balm thinking that it would be perfect for days when I wanted a bit of colour.

What can I say? I’ve been obsessed from the day my Hurraw lip balms arrived. I love the way they both taste. The tinted one actually isn’t really tinted. It leaves an almost invisible sheen of red, but I love it anyway because it smells and tastes exactly like cinnamon. The Vata lip balm tastes and smells really good, too.

Both of the lip balms soothe and nourish my lips perfectly. My lips generally aren’t very dry because I use oils on my face every single day and naturally some of them get on the lips, so they get some nourishment by default. But having a great lip balm, especially on windy and sunny days, is priceless.

Thought I’d let you know about this little brand of beautiful, raw lip balms with amazing ingredients. If you’re looking for one, you might want to check them out.

Also, I’m on the lookout for a natural lipgloss. Summer is approaching and I really miss the look of glossy, fresh lips. But all I have is lipsticks. Time for somethng different, I think. What do you think?

Can you recommend any natural lip gloss that you really love and you think I would love, too? Which colours are your favourites?

On another note, I’ve been filming all day long today. Like a machine! I made 4 recipes in one day and I got to eat them all. Yummy! Some super healthy and delicious Japanese foods are coming your way next week!

Have a good weekend!

Lots of love,

Vita xx

  1. Mmmm, the cinnamon one sounds delicious! I’ve never tried these lip balms before but I know my cousins loves them. I just ordered some lip balm a couple days ago, from a brand called happylips: ), I hope I like them.

  2. Burt’s Bees lip gloss is really nice and give one’s lips a kind of tingly feeling. I prefer Sunny Day. I like a peach gloss.

    • Hi Debs! Thanks for the recommendation! I’ve been eyeing Burt’s Bees lip glosses for a while now and they seem really nice. Perhaps, soon I’ll cave in and get myself one or two colours. 🙂 I always tend to go for rose or berry colours, although peach might look really nice with the tan in the summer as well. xx

  3. Hi Vita
Thank you for the Hurraw recommendation. I’d never heard of them before. Found them at my favourite local organic market in Newmarket, Ontario. Bought the Black Cherry one. It gives a nice sheer dark red tint. The taste is scrumptious and it is SO moisturizing. My lips are so dry and sensitive that lipstick freaks them out. I, too, am now obsessed with these and am going back to load up on other flavours! On another note, love your blog. I landed upon one of your YouTube videos over a year ago when I was having so much frustration with the OCM. As per your recommendation, I cut it back to oil cleansing once a week. I’ve been doing this now for over a year and my skin has never been better. It’s consistent, balanced. No more breakouts. Thank you Vita!!!!!

    • Hi Karen! Your comment truly my day I’m so happy that my tips helped your skin. That’s wonderful news. And those Hurraw lip balms are truly amazing. I’m still obsessed. The Black Cherry sounds amazing. I’ll have to get it next time! xx

  4. Hi Vita,

I LOVE your blog and everything that you do! Hurraw! lip balms are my favourite too – I adore black cherry flavour! 🙂
It’s funny how we live in different countries, never met in person but are so much alike – we enjoy similar things, live healthy lives, share the same name and even our blog names are similar! I have a feeling you’re from beautiful Lithuania too! 🙂
I am so glad that I found this blog!
Thank you for sharing your light and keep up the good work!
    Bes wishes,
    Vita xx

    • Hi Vita! Of course I am from beautiful Lithuania, just like you. 🙂 You’re right, we are so similar! I went over to your blog and read through almost all of your posts. I couldn’t get enough! By the way, I also used to live in London, so that’s another similarity. 🙂 Let’s keep in touch! xx
